Desi Swaad started because we were tired of the same thing every working professional faces β either spend time cooking, or order overpriced, underwhelming restaurant food. We decided there had to be a third option.
We now deliver daily tiffins to over 200 subscribers across Surrey,BC β working professionals, students, families, and anyone who just wants a proper home-cooked meal without the effort.

We cycle through Punjabi, South Indian, Bengali, and Rajasthani cuisines so your palate never gets bored.
On-Time, Every Day
Lunch by 1 PM and dinner by 8 PM β we take punctuality as seriously as the cooking.
No Preservatives
Fresh local produce, cold-pressed oils, and whole spices. Nothing out of a packet that doesnβt need to be.
How the Tiffin Started
Founder Vaishali Pandya moved to Canada in 2016 for work. Within a month she was exhausted by the cycle of office canteens and food delivery apps. She missed the rhythm of a real home kitchen β a different sabzi every day, fresh chapatis, dal that had actually been slow-cooked.
She started cooking tiffins for four of her colleagues. Within three months, word spread to 40 households. By 2020 she had a proper kitchen, four regional cooks, and a delivery team. Desi Swaad has not used a single frozen ingredient since day one, and that is still the non-negotiable rule.
